The Gorongosa Fruit Factory began its operations on January 16, 2009. Located in
Vila Gorongosa, the factory will drastically increase the revenues for the families
producing fruit in the Gorongosa District. Currently, approximately 80 percent
of all fruit that goes to market spoils because of outdated collection, processing,
and storage practices. <Click here to read more [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102622305561&s=2810&e=001bIyaNWskYX76aVLvoWoVEgXJZo9ppbIBpzFU4XB2gvd0rCjcb6N8OhEReJWMeZlpEzwS-LExyN77nzK7o2HXS4mdRQsMzURiksp41_ahsyBzAUEKJeolmDTKbjl6Y0WVHWmEVieiWn5DmOr0CeeWBtxjwsVZxgnh_GcJPmyRNkjlI63hJL5fLhhOSSP4at3Ca6kb8f6QVMKnUxC41JidwA==]>

April 9, 2009, Zoo Boise launched its partnership with the Carr Foundation to support
elephant relocations into Gorongosa National Park. At an event for Jane Goodall,
Zoo Boise sold stuffed animal elephants for $10 each with the hopes of raising $10,000
for Gorongosa's wildlife reintroduction program. That evening alone raised $7,000
for the project. <Click here to read more [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102622305561&s=2810&e=001bIyaNWskYX663MGtGdpdgB-P3hcCt-wq69p06YHG5SLWIqTAbDRkMhQBsvc5KD2u5zZzPRuiGDH_zJGRuIgTJqaUgzrvcVmLMymtjWatYcjL2ulnv-4z8gl0pp2JTZJi6pwsyGsoI0ir6aOEWa3I1NDqV0CmBuBcJ31IP3NJ9L6vbmmKtPOWaoGwlIVuiDdvOmkR5Ruv5Gz-ZDlewQzWqkeMtsSo6yaV-h7GMNHP_Qk=]>
