Tourism authorities in the African nation of Mozambique are hoping that an art exhibition opening in London will boost interest in the country as a tourist destination.
The display of work by eight contemporary artists will be open at the Royal Geographic Society in Kensington from 1 to 5 June.
Mozambique's art scene is going through a productive period and work coming out of the country is becoming increasingly popular among collectors.
The exhibition in London is the first display of contemporary art from Mozambique ever to be held in the city.
A variety of pieces will feature in the showcase, including paintings, ceramic works and wood sculptures.
Visitors who are interested in paying a visit to the African nation after seeing the exhibition will be able to pick up travel information at the venue.
Mozambique is located in southern Africa, a popular part of the continent among travellers that also encompasses South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
