Dear Friend,
We are delighted to announce the
details of the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) fringe meetings at the
Labour and Conservative party Conferences in the coming weeks.
The two meetings promise dynamic
debate about a model that Kurdistan offers for the Middle East region in the search for democracy and
reflect on the recent revision of the far-reaching implications of Britain ’s intervention in Iraq in the face of the Arab Spring.
The panellists at the two
conferences include:
Stephen
Twigg MP, Shadow FCO Minister
Nicholas
Soames MP, President of the Conservative Middle East Council
David
Gardner, International Affairs Editor at the Financial Times
John
McTernan, journalist and former director of political operations for Tony
Blair
and Bayan
Sami Abdul Rahman, the KRG High Representative to the UK
Please note:
All our
fringe meetings take place inside the secure zones of the conferences and are
therefore open only to those who carry the necessary passes from the conference
organisers.
