Berlin, Germany, 11 March – The film entitled, “Africa’s Lost Eden” produced by National Geographic is expected to be announced Friday in Berlin as one of the winners of a competition with 102 participating films from 32 countries, Macauhub learned Wednesday in Berlin.

The film, which tells the story of the project to restore the Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique is amongst the winners of each of the 10 categories of the competition and is a serious candidate for the best film in all the categories.

Wolfgang Jo Huschert, the organiser of the "Golden City Gate"-ITB Festival (one of the world’s most important competitions for films about tourism), which takes place every year at the same time as the world’s biggest tourism fair, told Macauhub that “Mozambique is in a good position.”

The film was shown for the firsts time in Mozambique in December, 2009, and was later screened at two fairs, in Lisbon and in Madrid at the Lisbon Tourism Fair (BTL) and the Madrid Tourism Fair (Fitur). (macauhub)
