The Crisis in Honduras

Canning House invites you to a panel discussion on The Crisis in Honduras,
at Canning House, on Friday, 24th July at 11 a.m.
The panel, chaired by Richard Lavers, former Ambassador and Chairman of
the Anglo-Central American Society, will include Justine Thody, Regional
Director for Latin America at the Economist Intelligence Unit; Katherine
Ronderos, Women.s Rights Programme Officer at the Central America Women.s
Network; Dr. Francisco Panizza, Senior Lecturer in Latin American Politics
at the London School of Economics and Jon Farmer, Editor of Latin American
Newsletters.
The panel will analyse the events that preceded president Zelaya.s
replacement; relations between state institutions; the domestic political
situation and the proposed constitutional reform; regional and
international implications, including implications for ALBA, relations with
the US, the EU and the OAS.
