In an exclusive interview to IPS Correspondent, Bankole Thompson, South Africa’s Archbishop, Desmond Tutu, talks about the current global financial crisis and how he thinks something is wrong with the "free market" system. He called for a review of the fundamentals of capitalism. He said African governments should form cartels to protect their institutions if Western nations are protecting their own financial companies. He lamented that Africa's political and religious leadership failed Zimbabweans. And he hailed the prospect of a Barack Obama presidency in the U.S.
