Two African observer missions have condemned the Zimbabwe election in unusually strong terms.
The Pan African Parliament observer mission concluded that
"the current atmosphere prevailing in the country did not give rise to the conduct of free, fair and credible elections" and the electon was not "in line with the African Union Declaration on the Principles Governing Democratic Elections"
The election observer mission of SADC (Southern African Development Community) concluded that
"The elections did not represent the will of the people of Zimbabwe."
