This it to inform you that Mwanazuoni Prof. Issa G. Shivji has been conferred with Honorary Doctorate in Laws by Rhodes University. The event took place on 18 April 2009. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you, Prof. Shivji, for your work that has inspired many a people from Cape to Cairo as well as from Dar to Dakar and beyond. Incidentally, according to Sunday Citizen (19 April 2009), Prof. Keto Mshigeni has won the African Association of Universities (AAU) African Higher Education Award for his contribution to higher education and research. For more information about why Prof. Mshigeni won the award click here.
