IANSA member ALUDEC in Uruguay has welcomed the destruction of over 8000weapons organised by the Ministry of National Defense on 24 July. Themajority of arms were gathered from the Ministry of Livestock,Agriculture and Fishing and the event signified the country's firstdestruction of weapons previously used for hunting and sports. Over 100weapons were also voluntarily handed to authorities by civilians.
