David Cameron on NATO!

Crossroads for NATO

On Tuesday, David Cameron, the leader of the opposition in UK, gave a speech on ways to make NATO an effective force against the threats of the 21st century.
He said that NATO was at a crossroads in its history, and recommended a number of measures to help it respond to the challenges of global terrorism, including:
- Establishing a Common Operational Fund to split the cost of military activities
- Reducing the number of national caveats, so that “if you're in, you're in"
David ended by stressing:
"The fundamental tenet on which the Alliance was founded - the belief that we are much stronger together than alone - is as valid today as it has ever been."
