ACCRA: PARIS DECLARATION EVALUATION

High-level meeting in Accra to evaluate the Paris Declaration
In 2005, a summit meeting was held in Paris to make the increasing amounts of aid more effective. It resulted in the Paris Declaration with a number of measurable goals to be met by 2010. Representatives of more than 150 governments and donor organisations met in June 2008 for a mid-term evaluation of the Paris Declaration. A major evaluation of the results in 56 countries has been carried out and will form the basis of the “Accra Agenda for Action” on which the meeting will decide. The meeting, “3rd High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness”, will take place in Accra on 2-4 September 2008 and will be hosted by the Government of Ghana. For more details please click here
