HIV conference at UEA

A major conference on HIV treatment is being held at the University of East Anglia this week.

The event tomorrow and Friday will provide one of the first opportunities for international research organisations and partnerships to share social science research on giving anti-retroviral therapy and its effects in poorer countries, such as sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia.

It is being organised by the School of International Development at UEA and the University of Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa. The conference involves speakers from the UK and Africa, with an introduction by Alan Whiteside, former member of the United Nations Commission on HIV and governance in Africa.
