New Permanent Representative of Bangladesh presents his credentials to the OIC Secretary General

The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, received in his office on 3 November 2008, H. E. Mr. Fazlul Karim, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , who presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of his country to the OIC.



While commending the Secretary-General’s leadership, the Ambassador of Bangladesh assured him of his determination to further enhance bilateral relations during his tenure.



On his part, the OIC Secretary General, after welcoming the new Bangladesh Ambassador, reiterated that the OIC has always enjoyed good relationship with Bangladesh and expressed the hope that Bangladesh , as an important member of the OIC, would play a more proactive role in the Organization.

During the meeting, various ways and means to further enhance bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the OIC were also discussed.
