KPMG apresenta-se em Tete
– admite Filipe Manjate

World Cup 2010 - Argentina send Greece home

Eurosport - Tue, 22 Jun 21:23:00
Argentina sealed top spot in Group B and sent Greece crashing out of the World Cup with a 2-0 victory at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
..It took the tournament favourites 77 minutes to break down Otto Rehhagel's side who despite needing a point to have any chance of progressing were more intent on stifling their opponents.
The deadlock was broken as Martin Demichelis smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
The defender rose highest at a corner only for his first header to hit Diego Milito but he was in the right place to smash the rebound past Alexandros Tzorvas.
And substitute Martin Palermo added a second a minute from time after Lionel Messi skipped through the Greek defence.
Coach Diego Maradona made seven changes to the side that beat South Korea 4-1 five days ago with his side's progression to the last 16 all but secure.
Messi became Argentina's youngest World Cup captain as he led his country for the first time two days before his 23rd birthday but he was followed doggedly by man marker Socratis Papastathopoulos until coming alive in the closing stages.
Tzorvas made four decent first-half saves to keep Argentina at bay.
The Panathinaikos keeper turned Sergio Aguero's effort around the post after a lovely run and then tipped Juan Sebastian Veron's piledriver from distance over the top.
He also repelled a Maxi Rodriguez effort and pushed a Messi curler over the crossbar.
Tzorvas did make one mistake when he fumbled a cross but Aguero's goalbound shot was blocked by Loukas Vyntra.
It took 48 minutes for Greece to carve out a chance and it was a golden one. Georgios Samaras pulled off Demichelis and saw his first shot blocked by Nicolas Burdisso but it rebounded back to the Celtic frontman who pulled his second effort marginally past the far post.
Clemente Rodriguez had a 20-yard effort whistle wide but despite needing to score twice, Greece continued to keep men behind the ball and leave Samaras an isolated figure up front.
The sort of anti-football that became Greece's trademark in Euro 2004 continued to frustrate their opponents, Tzorvas pushing a Messi free-kick behind before holding Mario Bolatti's crisp half-volley.
But Greece have failed to keep a clean sheet in 2010 and they were undone as Demichelis netted just his second international goal.
With Messi finally released from his shackles, he began to shine, dancing past two players before unleashing a shot that came back off the inside of the post.
And he was the creator for Argentina's second as he beat two men and, although his first shot was saved by Tsorvas, 36-year-old Palermo was on hand to sidefoot home the rebound.
Palermo, who scored a crucial goal in qualifying against Peru after being overlooked by his country for 10 years, netted just nine minutes after coming on and Argentina can now look forward to a second round clash against Mexico on Sunday while Greece go home with a whimper.

Letter from Michael
Dear Friend,
Today I'm inviting you to the exciting premiere of a new channel. It's called Obama's Chicago Network, and is the best place on the web for viewers to learn more about President Obama's Chicago-style politics. On Obama's Chicago Network, shady backroom deals, and strong-arm tactics are the name of the game.
This summer's lineup includes a gritty drama chronicling the White House's conflicting stories about a job offer to Rep. Joe Sestak, entitled "Job or No Job." If you like that, you'll love "The Colorado Hills," which examines a similar offer made to Andrew Romanoff. You can also watch Press Secretary Robert Gibbs perform the Potomac Two-Step around transparency questions in "Dancing with the Law," and get a peek of authentic Chicago-style politics in action in "I'm a Politician Get Me Out of Here!" starring indicted former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
It makes for compelling TV. Unfortunately, it's not TV, it's reality.
What Obama and his Chicago team are doing to this country is no joke. The President is ignoring the two biggest crises that America faces. Unemployment is at nearly 10 percent. Millions of gallons of oil are spilling in the Gulf. Americans are asking how these problems will be solved. Meanwhile, President Obama is searching for answers on the golf course.
To learn more, visit Obama's Chicago Network and enjoy our regularly scheduled programming. If you're moved, don't hesitate to make a contribution to help keep the Network going and air President Obama's dirty dealings all season long.
Sincerely,
Michael Steele

Diamond Find Could Aid Zimbabwe, and Mugabe

JOHANNESBURG — New mining in Zimbabwe has quickly yielded millions of carats of diamonds and could help catapult the nation into the ranks of the world’s top diamond producers, according to the head of a group of experts for the United Nations-backed effort to stop the trade in conflict diamonds.
But the new wealth has provoked fears that the riches will be used to subvert attempts to bring democracy to a country that has long suffered under authoritarian rule, and also to finance conflicts.

Reports/statements issued by our member organisations in recent days include the following items:
The attached Newsflash issued on 21.06.2010 by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights) reports on intimidation by police dressed in ordinary civilian clothing against ZimRights officers in Bulawayo. This harassment occurs at a time when the constitutional outreach process has begun.
Yesterday, (21.06.2010), ZimRights issued a further Newsflash (attached). It reports that funding partners of the constitutional outreach programme have committed to uphold their commitment to ensure that the outreach process is transparent, credible, democratic and peaceful.
Recent statements/reports on Zimbabwe by other civil society organizations and international bodies include the following:
Following the case concerning the CRD Director, Farai Muguwu, the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition issued the Daily Catalyst of 21.06.2010. It reports that the High Court Judge, Justice Chinembiri Bhunu, dismissed Farai Muguwu's bail application on the grounds that police investigations are at a premature stage. The bulletin also includes a short summary of the situation concerning student leaders in custody.
Today, the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition issued the Daily Catalyst as attached, with yet another update on Farai’s case. It reports that his bail application is set to be reviewed tomorrow (23.06.2010) following its dismissal earlier today (as above). The hearing is expected to commence early tomorrow morning. We will keep you posted.
Today Sokwanele published the latest edition of the Zimbabwe Inclusive Government Watch (ZIGWATCH) Issue 16 (as attached). The monitoring report notes that “the passage of another month has brought no change in the political stalemate facing the twenty month old Zimbabwean Global Political Agreement (GPA)”.
The bulletin brings to light the most controversial of all events this month with Robert Mugabe unilaterally appointing a new Supreme Court judge and four High Court judges without any consultation. There is also news on the arrest and conviction of commercial farmers by Police in the Inyathi region in Matabeleland despite formal written authority from the High Court to remain on their farms.

The Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN) released the attached Ballot Update Issue 12 covering the period April and May 2010. It broadly captures the national political developments in the period and highlights a number of developments and concerns including delays and the neutrality and impartiality of the media amongst other things.

Letter from the Bill Clinton Foundation
Dear Friend,
As I make my 11th trip to Africa, I've committed to raising $150,000 for our life-saving work.
Support my Foundation's work in Africa and around the world, and I'll match your gift dollar for dollar.
When I made my first trip to sub-Saharan Africa in 1998, I saw the people of Uganda working to turn the tide of AIDS. I saw citizens once divided by apartheid working together to build democracy in South Africa. I saw women across the continent starting businesses. And I felt a strong connection to all of humanity and the future we share.
This experience left an indelible mark on my life and my presidency and continues to inspire my Foundation's work in Africa. This week, I am making my 11th trip to the continent.
There has been incredible progress made since my first visit, but persistent, daunting, and systemic challenges remain, threatening long-term growth and prosperity.
Since 2002, my Foundation has been working to give people in Africa the tools to lift themselves from poverty and build a brighter future for their children and grandchildren. But we need the commitment from generous individuals like you to keep this work going. That is why I am personally pledging $150,000 to match your gift and double the good work that we can accomplish together.
Will you support the Clinton Foundation's lifesaving work?
I've set a goal of raising $150,000 before the end of my trip on June 28 -- and will match every dollar you give to help get us there.
My Foundation brings a unique business approach to sustainable development that is creating a meaningful difference for millions of lives across Africa and around the world. You can see the results of some of the projects that your support helps make possible below:
Planting 1.9 million trees through community reforestation programs in Malawi
Constructing a 120-bed Neno District Hospital and 23 staff houses in the remote Neno hills area of Malawi
Establishing rainwater harvesting and latrine programs at 12 schools in Rwanda, providing 15,000 children with modern latrines and stored water for hand-washing
Helping 6,500 coffee farmers develop their company, Rwandan Farmers Coffee Company Ltd, into a profitable enterprise
I work in Africa because I want to help keep people from dying before their time. I want to help these countries -- so full of hope and life -- reach their promise. But I can't do it without your support.
Make a donation to my Foundation by June 28, and I'll match your gift with one of my own.
With each trip to Africa, I continue to learn and grow. I meet remarkable individuals who tell me how their lives have improved because of our support. As I return to Africa, I hope you'll join me in making a commitment to creating opportunity and a better future for generations to come.
Thank you for your commitment.
Sincerely,
Bill Clinton
